Senior Account Executive - Public Relations

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Public Relations, Marketing, Communications experience, or related industry
  • 2+ years management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English or related area of study
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to articulate ideas to clients effectively, colleagues and team members
  • Passion for creating excellent high-quality deliverables
  • Strong spirit of collaboration, highly self-motivated and results-driven with a can-do attitude
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Use of tools such as Cision, Agility PR, Muck Rack, PitchEngine, Business Wire, HARO, Meltwater, or similar standard PR tools/software

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the senior team to help manage day-to-day operations of client accounts, execute tactics, and produce deliverables as specified in client programs
  • Learn how to manage/run accounts from team members senior to themselves
  • Own the client relationship, ensuring high-quality service and results, and coaching and training team members
  • Contribute high impact ideas to plans and programs
  • Support in the management, mentorship and coaching of junior team members
  • Drive media coverage for clients and write compelling content that reflects the clients’ voice and messaging
  • Grow and solidify strong relationships with business, technology, broadcast and influencer media and analysts
  • Coach junior team members in building their media relations skills
  • Develop a full range of written materials including client correspondence, press releases, media pitches, briefing sheets, speaking abstracts, etc.
  • Review junior team members’ work to ensure client readiness
  • Provide quality counsel to clients and manage client meetings
  • Support programs and projects from kickoff through goal achievement
  • Contribute to agency marketing efforts including awards and social media posts
  • Participate in the new business process, creating baseline decks/proposals
  • Track time and support general agency operational tasks
  • Travel may be required
