Qualifications
- At least 6 years of professional hands-on experience in creative designs and prototyping and designing client-side applications for Mobile and Web
- Experience building and maintaining corporate brand style guide
- Bachelors or Master degree in a design field such as interaction design, or human-computer interaction (HCI) or equivalent
- Proficiency in design and prototyping applications such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Understanding of Javascript frameworks and web application design patterns
- Experience building design components and design systems for large modern e-commerce web
- Comfort with an iterative design process based on qualitative and quantitative feedback
- Is a self-starter that is motivated, passionate, and results-focused
- Has strong eye for business and willingness to jump in to work side-by-side with the team to get things done
- Possesses exceptional project and time management and communication skills
- Has keen knowledge of design compliance standards and regulations to ensure all design activities align with legal and ethical guidelines
- Is highly comfortable with fast-paced and matrixed environments with the ability to articulate design concepts and strategies to gain buy-in across diverse stakeholders
- Can address escalations and resolve problems based on a data-driven approach, as well as listening and understanding of stakeholder needs
- Competence in designing consumer applications across mobile and web
- Expertise in standard and emerging UX software. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a plus.
- Ability to work with internal teams to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet customer needs
- Must be self-sufficient, organized, and adaptable
- Understanding of UX Design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
- Experience working side by side with developers to ensure that UX/UI requirements are clear, final product meets specifications, and coming up with resolutions for issues that arise
Responsibilities
- You will be a creative leader within Pantone, reporting directly to the Vice President of Strategy and Digital Operations, and working across the Pantone portfolio
- You will use your extensive design expertise as you influence other cross-functional leaders and team members
- Translate concepts and use cases into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences that drive market demand growth for Pantone’s portfolio of solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional global teams to ensure compelling, impactful, and brand-consistent designs and experiences that resonate with target audiences and that drive results
- Design new user flows and enhance existing web experience for e-commerce web platform and mobile application to articulate Pantone’s brand and product stories
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to drive the strategy, planning, and execution of initiatives, taking a strategic role in owning and driving design to produce results
- Present and communicate UX/UI recommendations and strategies to executives, developers, and other stakeholders
- Monitor and analyze UX/UI performance, using data and insights to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for continuous improvement and facilitating data-driven decision-making
- Work closely with data teams to develop comprehensive dashboards and reporting frameworks to track the effectiveness of customer initiatives across web, marketing, and digital
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams (Channel, Regional, Product) to support strategic initiatives and identify new initiatives and improvement areas that will provide seamless and user-friendly digital experiences and drive optimal engagement and conversion rates across various digital platforms and touchpoints
- Act as a brand advocate internally
- Execute brand guidelines to ensure a cohesive brand experience across all audience touchpoints
- Stay current with the latest design trends and technologies and provide thought leadership to the organization
- Coordinate the external design team work, build efficient in-house design services
