Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • In this role, the UX Designer for Station will operate as a lead at senior level to work with cross functional teams comprised of talented product managers, software developers, and operations partners in an agile environment to develop product concepts, define requirements and priorities, build and launch to market
  • The UX Designer must be able to create and manage design intake for the team, set expectations with stakeholders, ensure design sprints are effectively run, and the outcomes and deliverables are in time
  • As the UX Designer for station, you will be frequently in the field to talk to our customers, and test your proposed design work
  • In this role, you will support warehouses and critical monitoring infrastructure that enable effective package delivery
  • Last Mile warehouses, also known as delivery stations, receive shipments upstream warehouses and prepare them for drivers to take to Amazon customers
  • Having the ability to manage design projects for different teams in different locations across the world will be key
  • The role also has to work with the Design management team to develop a solid design process to work with various station product teams
  • Contribute to the design of useful, usable, and desirable user interfaces and service design in a collaborative environment
  • Create user-centered designs by considering market segment analysis, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings
  • Use business requirements and customer research to assist in developing scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements
  • Design the visual style, interface, and interaction flow of applications and experiences
  • Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, click-throughs, and prototypes
  • Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns
  • Contribute team expansion by participating in interviewing and hiring process for designer and researcher roles
  • Drive and manage the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently
  • Assist the Sr. Manager of Design for Delivery station with functional project management, strategic and tactical labor planning, optimization and design intake decisions
  • Present design work to the user experience team, product team, and Amazon executives for review and feedback
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure design projects are run smoothly
  • Ensure effectively load balancing of design projects for the Station design team members

  • The base pay for this position ranges from $94,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $184,000/year in our highest geographic market
