The Video Software Engineering team is looking for Engineering Managers to grow and develop our engineering talent and build inclusive, high-performing teams.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Engineering/Product/Project Management and Backend Technology Services teams to build highly scalable/reliable video infrastructure, including various configurations, routing policies/tools, and services to manage Video KPIs.
  • Develop software solutions based on operations; collaborate and confer with colleagues, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, following the software development lifecycle.
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
  • Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming. Deliver on product roadmaps, incrementally with a high level of quality.
  • Drive technical initiatives in partnership with senior engineers across teams. Constantly search for improvements in process, improve software delivery and operational processes.
  • Grow the team by attracting diverse talent that can push technical boundaries and where individuals recognize that team success is more important than individual success.
  • Support, coach and develop high performing engineers through regular 1:1s, continuous feedback and relationships with others.
  • Mentor individuals to embrace diversity and help build an inclusive and flexible workplace.
  • Proactively suggest changes to the process to enhance efficiency as the team evolves.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Ability to integrate into a large agile development project and manage rapid development cycles.

Desired Qualifications

  • 2+ years of Engineering Management experience, prior software development experience at senior level.
  • Understanding of how a high performing team of engineers looks like.
  • Understanding of deadlines, constraints and scope of delivery and experience working with the business partners to ensure the right balance between these are met, setting expectations and handling risks early.
  • Being an analytic problem solver with a strong sense of autonomy, but with an open collaborative approach to getting the job done.
  • Interest in promoting an inclusive team culture where engineers of diverse backgrounds can grow.
  • Committed to quality in every assignment, large or small.
  • Transparency, selflessness, and authenticity.
  • Past use of Agile/Scrum/Kanban or similar collaborative tools.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.

Salary range: $130,000 - $190,000; bonus and long-term incentive eligible.
