Job Description

Location: CHESTNUT RDG, New York

Duration: 8 Months

Rate: $48/hr

Required Skills

1. Knowledge of Verizon Construction business, vBuild functionality and Workbrain/VzTime functionality
2. 5 years of experience as Java developer, including JavaScript, JSP, HTML development, log4j
3. Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate with clients/stakeholders, engineers, developers, testers
4. 3 years of experience in Linux/UNIX - OS commands and scripting
5. 2 years of experience in relational database systems, SQL/JDBC development
6. 2 years of experience with web servers and application servers: Apache, Tomcat, Weblogic, Websphere
7. HTML development on an Android device phone or tablet (Chrome browser) 2+ years
8. HTML5 development experience 1 year
9. Codes, tests, debugs, documents, and installs new applications and programs
10. Uses coding methods in specific programming languages to initiate or enhance program execution and functionality
11. Monitor program execution for expected performance; Respond to errors and emergencies within applications and programs
12. Provide first-tier support to end users for IT applications
13. Perform installation of code releases and patches and write scripts or programs for IT applications
14. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of databases and systems
15. Complete the necessary documentation for business cases, process, analysis, functional requirements, and testing as needed
16. Facilitate planning and functional design sessions to support requirements and business solutions
17. 4-year degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
18. 4+ years of Technical Support experience
19. Experience in build management, CVS and Eclipse
20. Preferably M.S. degree in Computer Science
