About the Role:
As a UI Engineer at CrowdStrike, you will work with a talented and dedicated team to build and maintain the user interface for the core systems that turn teams of analysts into a barrier to the actions of adversaries in the wild. The systems we build are relied upon 24/7/365 to process more than half a trillion events every day, in real time, to help identify the most malicious of attacks and STOP BREACHES!
You will work hand in hand with security analysts around the globe to improve existing tooling and develop novel solutions to improve the overall efficacy of the products as well as the efficiency of analysts.
Our stack is Ember, but if you've used frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue, you'll feel right at home, and we'll help get you up to speed. Since we only support evergreen browsers, we can push the boundaries of what’s possible on the web platform working with truly massive amounts of data. Our ideal candidates are sensitive to the needs of the users and love to solve problems.
We’re a highly collaborative, friendly, inclusive and diverse group that prizes collaboration over competition, provides opportunities to learn new skills, take part in technical mentorship programs, and contribute to the direction of both the team and the products we’re responsible for. We work in a distributed, remote-first, high-trust environment where you manage your own time and have the flexibility to balance your work and personal life.
CrowdStrike is a cybersecurity company, but we do not require candidates for this role to have prior security industry experience. We will mentor and train in security topics as needed. We do expect a strong interest in CrowdStrike's mission and a willingness to engage with the needs of our product teams and customers.
About the Team:
You'll join our growing Detections Platform Cloud team. The cloud side of the detections platform works in conjunction with on-endpoint code to detect security problems and incidents, automatically stop adversaries in their tracks, and provide actionable data to customers. Detections Platform is involved across the entire product line and you’ll work closely with other groups across the company.
What You’ll Do:
  • Design, build, and maintain single page applications in Ember

  • Participate in the code review process for your own code and that of your fellow UI Engineers

  • You’ll leverage your technical expertise to help the team make sound decisions around engineering, product direction and design

  • Take initiative and build tools that improve your team’s development experience

  • Write automated tests for your code

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary Crowdstrikers

  • Continually learn about the ever-evolving challenges and complexities of the cybersecurity industry

  • Have fun solving hard problems

  • What You’ll Need:

  • Strong HTML & CSS skills, including experience with CSS pre or post processors (like Sass
