Product Design & UI Patent Attorney or Agent
Join a leading AmLaw 100 national law firm in an engaging role focusing on product design and user interface patent prosecution. This full-time position is ideally suited for candidates in Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, DC, Houston, Denver, Kansas City, Phoenix, or St. Louis. Work alongside a team of skilled professionals in a dynamic environment, preparing and prosecuting patent applications, and strategizing to protect innovations in software, artificial intelligence, IoT, and quantum technologies.
Salary: $230,000.00 - $390,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and prosecute patent applications related to product design and user interface technologies.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of attorneys and agents to deliver top-tier patent prosecution services.
- Engage directly with clients to develop and implement effective patent strategies.
- Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
- Participate in client counseling and opinion writing.
- Work to continuously improve technical expertise in key technology areas.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record or equivalent experience.
- Bar Admission in Georgia, Illinois, District of Columbia, Texas, Colorado, Missouri, or Arizona.
- Admission to the USPTO.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in patent preparation and prosecution.
- Degree in physics, electrical engineering, or computer science.
- Proven experience in a law firm, engineering, or relevant industry, with strong writing and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in software-related technologies.
- Expertise in artificial intelligence-related technologies.
- Familiarity with IoT, networking, and related technologies.
- Knowledge of quantum technologies.
- Ability to work independently and within a team framework.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
