Overview
In this new and pivotal role, the Senior Director, Media Operations will be responsible for the implementation of new technologies and workflow strategies aimed at elevating the output of MLS Productions. With the goal of enhancing standards, this position will nurture key partnerships with our Clubs and vendors to streamline production processes. Reporting to the VP of Broadcast & Technical Operations, this candidate will play a crucial role in managing our day-to-day production and ensure seamless communication across various departments (both internal and external) on behalf of MLS.
Responsibilities Collaborate closely with the VP of Broadcast and Technical Operations to construct overarching strategic frameworks and long-term blueprints for centralized production initiatives. On Match Days leading the live reporting structures on issues that may impact production. Defining the tools used, escalation plans and an agile system to investigate and mitigate faults etc. Travel to be on-site for Live Match Productions as required. Supervise the execution of production plans by our production vendors, encompassing comprehensive production timelines, requisite materials, and resource allocations from our clubs, ensuring adherence to our exacting quality standards. Provide invaluable support for high-priority club/venue enhancement endeavors through meticulous research, incisive analysis, and the formulation of actionable strategies to bring our clubs up to par with desired MLS venue benchmarks. Craft comprehensive policies and procedures tailored to empower our clubs in bolstering their production infrastructure. Conduct in-depth scrutiny of key performance indicators and prevailing industry trends to identify avenues for optimization and expansion. Foster enduring partnerships with clubs and vendors alike, nurturing collaborative ecosystems conducive to mutual growth and success.
Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree or equivalent 10+ years of experience
Required Skills Adept at strategic planning and implementation. Proficient in data analysis and trend forecasting. Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities. Ability to travel and to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Strategic approach to business case development and risk-taking. Experience in identifying and negotiating partnerships. Analytical and data-driven decision-making. Effective communication and collaboration skills. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
Desired Skills Knowledge of the Spanish Language (business proficiency) Knowledge of the sport of soccer
Total Rewards
Starting Base Salary: $145,000 - $175,000. MLS/SUM base salaries are contingent upon several factors including individual qualifications, market financials, and operational business needs.
