Director of Music/Organist Weisenberg Lutheran Church

Alcm, PA, United States

Overview: Music ministry holds significant importance in Christian worship and has several purposes in the context of the Lutheran church. Music helps to lead God’s people in worship by teaching and communicating the good news of Jesus’ resurrection; harmonizes our community’s life of prayer, praise, and thanksgiving to God with a united voice and joyful noise. Music allows disciples of all ages to offer their musical gifts in service to Christ’s church, and to express their personal devotion to God with a diversity of musical styles, talents, and offerings. Music helps worshipers connect with God’s grace and mercy, providing a medium for Christians to console and comfort one another in grief, celebrate milestones of joy, and cling to the resurrection promise of Jesus. As Director of Music at Weisenberg, you will fill a key leadership role in helping God’s people to worship, praise, and serve God in these ways and more through their musical gifts.
