The Communications Manager - Camp Chi serves as a member of the Camp Chi management team in creating the vision for and the development of Camp Chi's communications. The Manager plays a role in all camper, staff, and parent communication to benefit recruitment, program development and alumni engagement. This engagement will come through emails, social media, texting, and more.

Key areas of responsibility include:
•Managing Camp Chi social media, including Facebook, Instagram, etc.
•Supervision of photographer team, including 4 photographers and a videographer.
•Ensure quality photos of each camper.
•Planning and implementation of virtual engagement with campers and families.
•Oversight of daily camp updates, newsletters, and emails.
•Creation and implementation of social media and digital marketing, in cooperation with Marketing team.
•Planning and implementation of year-round engagement and communications with staff.
General Responsibilities
•Be cognizant of changing trends in camp social media.
•Ensure general communication to Camp Chi families is happening regularly.
•Plan and implement communication plans for the Camp Reunion, mini reunions, and other year round programs.
•Ensure regular parent communication through email, phone, text, social media, and more.
•Other duties as assigned.
•Communicate positively and effectively with parents around registration for camp and events as well as inquiries about summer camp.
•Work to establish and implement the highest quality communication to all camp families already registered as well as prospective camp families.
•Establish and maintain relationships within the greater Jewish community that allow for collaborative programming efforts.
•Actively participate in agency events when possible.
Essential Job Duties/Physical Requirements:
•Lift/move children up to 40 lbs.
•Demonstrate physical stamina and agility required to be mobile for long periods throughout the day.
•Stand for long periods of time and be able to run and actively engage physically with children.
•React with physical and mental alertness in emergency situations.
•Use hands for grasping equipment and play material.
•Supervise children by sight and sound.
•Must be able to rotate head side to side to scan the environment.
•Ability to demonstrate, motivate and communicate with children and adults.
•Ability to speak clearly and articulately with a loud tone of voice.
•Mental alertness; sustain concentration for long periods of time.
Summer Responsibilities - Full Time:
•Supervise photographer team
•Oversee quality and quantity of uploaded pictures
•Work with supervisor team to ensure timely communication
•Manage Campanion system for daily and micro updates
•Create a social media plan for the summer to show families what is happening at Chi
•Ensure overall quality of communication at Chi is efficient and consistent
Offseason Responsibilities - Part Time (10%):
•Create weekly social media posts updating families
•Assist in creation of communication plan
•Proofread Camp Chi emails
•Update families on all important events and programs
Days/Hours/Location:
September through May: Remote work 10% of week.
June through August: Camp Chi (Lake Delton, WI) Full Time

5 member photographer team .4 FTE
1-2 marketing interns .1 FTE

Education Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, media, or related field preferred.
Experience:
•3+ years experience in Resident Camp or related field
Other Requirements:
•Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel and databases with the ability to learn other technology as needed; proficiency with CampMinder preferred.
•Experience utilizing Social Media on behalf of an organization.
•Strong oral and written communication skills; must have highly developed public speaking/presentation skills.
