About the Clingstones:
The Columbus Clingstones, the Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, are set to debut at Synovus Park in April 2025. Playing at the renovated historic Golden Park, the Clingstones aim to combine thrilling baseball action with a vibrant and family-friendly fan experience. As a new cornerstone of the Columbus sports scene, the Clingstones are dedicated to fostering community engagement and developing future Major League talent. The Columbus Clingstones are a proud member club of Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH). DBH was formed in 2021 to support, promote, and enhance Minor League Baseball through best practices, professional management, innovation, and investment.
Position Overview:
The Broadcasting & Media Relations Manager is expected to help establish, maintain, and lead a culture of collaboration, innovation, and teamwork within an inclusive positive can-do atmosphere. Specifically responsible for setting that example both internally and externally while holding yourself and others accountable for their work performance along with their contribution to our culture. The Broadcasting & Media Relations Manager is the team's lead media relations contact and will serve as the primary play-by-play broadcaster for all Clingstones home games on MiLB.TV. Responsible for writing and distributing press releases, issuing press credentials, facilitating interview requests, and developing productive working relationships with local media. The successful candidate will distribute daily game notes, stat packs, rosters, and lineups to each team and members of the media.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Broadcasting:
- TV/Bally's Live play-by-play during 69 Clingstones home games.
- Host pregame show and postgame show.
- Individually shoot, host and produce daily feature elements to be used in stadium, social and on Bally's LIVE broadcast.
- Individually edit audio and video elements, including highlights, interviews, & commercials.
- Social media savvy and willing to interact on Bally's Live broadcast.
- Media Relations:
- Compile a daily information packet for all home games consisting of rosters, lineups, and statistical information.
- Assist with all media relations efforts including issuing press releases, accommodating interview requests, administering media credentials, as well as other media information and related duties.
- Assist with maintenance of Synovus Park press box.
- Assist with social media.
- Writing:
- Writing game recaps, feature stories for the Game Day program and articles for the website.
- Help in writing press releases for roster moves and various club news.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous media relations & broadcasting experience required (preferably in Minor League Baseball)
- Must be available for the full duration of the position
- Computer literate (knowledge of Word and Excel are a must)
- Knowledge of Photoshop & InDesign preferred
- Experience with Social Media Marketing
- Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
- Team player and friendly personality
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task with little supervision
