The Graphic Designer will report to the Creative Director and promote visual storytelling of our brand as we continue to connect people to our purpose and mission. Abound’s Brand is one of its greatest assets. It articulates our purpose, differentiates us in our markets, and influences consumers to believe in the value of joining the credit union movement through Abound’s mission.
Responsible for assisting in traditional and digital visual content creation, the Graphic Designer understands graphic composition in both traditional and digital medias and is able to execute well-crafted visual designs to connect people to the value that Abound brings to its team, members, and communities we serve.
As a key member of the marketing team, the Graphic Designer will have an impact on overall creative output maintaining brand consistency throughout multiple verticals and marketing channels.
Your primary duty is to successfully produce brand consistent creative materials communicating the value of the Abound Brand to new and existing target audiences in varied marketing channels. You will help ensure the Credit Union’s presence is up to date, on-brand and always seen as relevant.
What You’ll Do:
- Create compelling visual content – Assist with the development of a well-functioning content calendar. Maintains and updates the content calendar in our project management system Workfront. Adjusts the content strategy for several buyer personas that align with short- and long-term marketing objectives. Reports to Marketing Manager weekly on current collateral and channel usage. Creates a consistent message/design across multiple channels.
- Brand Identity and Guidelines – Maintains adherence with all brand guidelines company wide.
- Content, Creative, Multimedia Oversight - Oversees, develops, and executes graphic imagery and content for traditional/digital advertisements and communications while making sure to maintain all aspects of the Brand Standards. Supports the flow of accurate, consistent, timely and current information for the Credit Union. Responsible for the first-line quality assurance and compliance adherence.
- Design Production - At direction of the Marketing Manager and Director of Brand and Marketing, lead the creative team in writing, designing, and producing materials. Assists with marketing campaigns, timelines, project expectations, member/market communications and promotions to drive growth and advance the consistency of Abound's brand.
- Process Refinement and Continuous Improvement - Responsible for improvement of the entire graphics process from concept to application to tracking effectiveness. Troubleshoot project or process problems as they arise and initiate improvements to design, collaboration, and efficiency processes as needed. Stays abreast of new graphic design techniques and technologies as well as increasing the graphic efficiency, effectiveness, and clarity of all marketing messages to members/market.
- Concepts and Ideation - Works closely with Marketing Manager and Director of Brand and Marketing to create new ideas and generate creative concepts during team brainstorming sessions. Find new ways to increase exposure with our target personas.
What We Need:
- Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in Graphic/Web Design or a related discipline, at least 3 years equivalent industry/agency experience and the ability to design and develop marketing / brand videos and the ability to provide leadership / support to other graphics designers.
- Computer skills required includes, Adobe Creative Suite, HTML and CSS, and Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and willingness to support others within the team.
- Solid understanding of advertising, marketing, and brand voice. Ability to maintain communication and style guidelines to ensure consistency of brand and content strategy
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, sound knowledge of design techniques and the ability to format print-ready and digital art while maintaining brand guidelines. Demonstrate an outstanding eye for detail, and command of English grammar and punctuation

Salary Info:
$53,958.91 - $67,448.64 / annually
