Position Overview:
The Repair Specialist is the supervisor for Uniqlo's sustainability initiatives and alterations specialists. This individual will be responsible for communicating about Re-Uniqlo to guests, overseeing the repair team, and creating unique renewed clothing through their exceptional tailoring skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, train and model brand standards for visual presentation, customer service, cleanliness and organization throughout the store; to ensure a consistent store experience.
- Executing basic repair and alteration services within a timely manner
- Acting as a brand representative for REUNIQLO Circular Initiatives (reuse, donation, repair, upcycling, recycle, etc)
- Repairing items in a creative way to reduce waste and increase customer satisfaction
- Training and leading a team of repair and alteration specialists
- Maintain brand and operational standards (visual, cleanliness, etc.)
- Manage customer needs and exceed expectations by utilizing the UNIQLO service standard, following the UNIQLO Fundamental Principles and saying the 6 standard phrases.
- Support store management to ensure all key objectives are met (i.e.: customer service, operational initiatives, etc.).
- Ensures their team proactively manage customer needs and exceed expectations: providing product knowledge and recommendations to customers, by utilizing the U.N.I.Q.L.O. service standard, UNIQLO Fundamental Principles and 6 Standard Phrases.
- Partner with the Store Manager to identify and resolve merchandising, visual display, product or store related issues in the store.
- Exemplify and enforce company policy and procedure
- Assist with special projects as assigned by management.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers and store personnel.
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, read computer terminals, push, pull or move objects of at least 25 pounds, up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor and stockroom by repetitive bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of sewing/tailoring experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong communication skills
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including evenings and weekends
Full-Time Availability Requirements:
- Average 32 or more hours per week based on business seasonality.
- Open availability on weekends (religious exemptions will be considered).
- Restrictions on availability limited to two days per week.
