Job Title: Community Manager
Location: Port Townsend, WA
Schedule: Full-Time, Onsite
Employment Type: Temp, 3 months
Pay Rate: $24-26/hr

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience as a Leasing Consultant, Assistant Property Manager, or Property Manager.

  • Affordable housing experience preferred (LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, Rural Development).

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee complex operations, maintaining high occupancy levels through outreach and marketing per the Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan.

  • Keep detailed and legible records.

  • Implement company policies outlined in the MPM.

  • Ensure federal and state regulatory compliance; display required posters (e.g., Equal Housing Opportunity).

  • Notify residents of Rental Assistance as assigned by the corporate office.

  • Facilitate unit transfers for over/under-housed residents.

  • Show apartments, process applications, and screen applicants; manage move-ins and utility transfers.

  • Explain rental agreements and residency policies to residents.

  • Handle resident evictions and prepare relevant notices.

  • Maintain and manage waiting list files and rejected applications.

  • Collect rents, manage petty cash, and ensure proper accounting; handle late fees and other charges.

Work Environment:

  • Manage operations across two properties with flexible scheduling on Fridays.

Pay Details: $24.00 to $26.00 per hour
