GXM is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Communications Specialist III to join our team . Our team is looking to welcome an experienced technical professional to work in support of GXM projects for government clients in the Fort Meade, MD area and in support of company-level efforts across project teams.

The Communications Specialist III develops and implements comprehensive communications strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives. They produce high-quality written content for various communications channels, including press releases, reports, presentations, and internal communications. They build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication. The Communications Specialist III manages and responds to Requests for Information (RFI) from various stakeholders, ensuring timely and accurate information delivery. They assist in managing communication during crisis situations, providing timely and accurate information to mitigate impact. They ensure all communications are consistent with the organization's mission, values, and messaging guidelines. The Communications Specialist III monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of communications strategies and initiatives, using data to inform improvements. They take direction from more senior personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement communications strategies that align with organizational objectives.
  • Produce high-quality written content for a variety of communication channels, including press releases, reports, presentations, and internal communications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure consistent and effective communication.
  • Manage and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) from various stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
  • Support crisis communications, providing clear, timely, and accurate information to mitigate impact.
  • Ensure all communications adhere to the organization's mission, values, and messaging guidelines.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communications strategies and initiatives, using data-driven insights to inform improvements.
  • Take direction from senior personnel and collaborate effectively with team members.


Requirements

  • Must be US Citizen
  • TS/SCI required; CI Poly desired
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 9 years of experience in professional communications roles.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting competing deadlines.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience producing content for diverse audiences and communication channels.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to foster relationships across teams and organizations.
  • Expertise in evaluating the effectiveness of communication strategies using data and analytics.
