Senior Interior Designer
to join their team. This firm creates bespoke residences that seamlessly integrate architecture and interior design, reflecting the unique lifestyles of their discerning clientele.
The Senior Interior Designer will lead exceptional projects from concept to completion, ensuring impeccable design execution while fostering creativity and collaboration within the team.
Key Responsibilities Design & Project Oversight : Manage all stages of project design, from programming and concept development to installation, ensuring precision and quality at every step. Client Relations : Provide exceptional service and maintain clear, professional communication with high-profile clients throughout the project lifecycle. Project Coordination : Handle budgeting, scheduling, and reporting while collaborating with contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery. Creative Leadership : Drive the design direction, including custom furnishings, material selection, and integration of fine art and antiques. Construction Administration : Oversee construction documentation, site visits, and follow-ups to ensure adherence to design intent and timelines. Team Leadership : Mentor junior team members and promote a collaborative, team-oriented work environment.
Qualifications Experience : Minimum of
8 years in high-end residential interior design , with a strong track record of full-cycle project management in New York City. Education : Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture (preferred). Technical Skills : Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite, with familiarity in Studio Designer or similar purchasing platforms. Industry Knowledge : Deep understanding of New York trade sources, custom furnishings, millwork, fine art, and antiques. Professional Skills : Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage client relationships and thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
