Qualifications

  • Commitment and competence to work effectively with students
  • Strong understanding of both traditional and contemporary design practices with knowledge in:
    • Design for Web and Mobile Platforms
    • Graphic Communication
    • Applied UI/UX
    • Immersive media and AR/VR
    • Motion Graphics
    • Typography
    • Informational Graphics
    • Way-Finding Systems
    • AI integration
  • Technical mastery of industry-standard technologies and software, including the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with innovative teaching methodologies, actively incorporating technology into teaching and learning
  • Master’s degree in a related field with a minimum of three years of directly related experience, including one year of full-time teaching experience, or a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five years of directly related experience, including one year of full-time teaching experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) or conversational language abilities preferred

Responsibilities

  • Teaching course load as assigned
  • Evaluating courses and assessing student learning
  • Meeting established course, program, and learning outcomes
  • Complying with guidelines and policies
  • Maintaining office hours per established standards
  • Developing rapport with students
  • Participating in advising, orientation, and registration activities
  • Engaging in scholarly endeavors and service activities such as campus and college committees
  • Participating in assessment activities, program review, student organization, recruiting, and retention
