Insight Global is seeking a qualified Secret Technical Writer in support of one of our large federal clients in Albuquerque, NM. This candidate will be supporting the front-end of the documentation for the Editors. Their day to day will include but is not limited to:
* Working closely with engineering SMEs to write multi-operational tech manuals
* Creating documentation cradle to grave for Editors approval
* Evaluating design, manufacturing, and testing documentation, including the Statement of work (SOW) and other contractual requirements
* Ensuring contract compliance by reviewing the SOW, government requirements, and the latest revision of the technical specifications.
* Assessing Work Orders (WOs) assigned to Quality Assurance for the editor and reporting status updates and assignment completions.
* Performing editing tasks while maintaining flexibility in processes to avoid impacting delivery schedules
Compensation:
$36.50/hr. to $42.54/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience
* Active Secret Clearance - can hold up to TS/SCI
* Bachelor's Degree in English or Technical Writing and 7+ years of experience in Technical Writing - additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree
* Experience working with XML
* Proven experience as a technical writer creating user and maintenance manuals
* Strong experience utilizing MS Office, including Excel and Access database to manage assets
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Experience with documentation with NAVSEA
* Knowledge of MIL-STDs
