Selah Freedom is a Faith-Based, Regional organization providing education and training throughout the country, as well as teen prevention, outreach, and safe housing in the Midwest and Southeast regions of the United States. Selah Freedom's headquarters is located in Sarasota, Florida. Selah Freedom exists to end sex trafficking and bring freedom to the exploited.

Qualifications

Job Summary: The Marketing Intern will assist in the planning, creation, and execution of marketing initiatives to support the organization's mission. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about ending human trafficking to gain real-world experience in marketing, communications, and social impact.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing campaigns to promote Selah Freedom's programs, services, and/or events
  • Create content for various platforms, including social media, email newsletters, blogs, and websites.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for outreach and engagement.
  • Help manage social media accounts by scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to inquiries.
  • Support the design and creation of marketing materials such as flyers, brochures, and digital assets.
  • Collaborate with team members on brainstorming and strategy sessions.
  • Assist with tracking and analyzing the performance of marketing efforts using analytics tools.
  • Support event planning and promotional efforts for fundraisers, workshops, and other activities.
  • Other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Passion for the mission of Selah Freedom and interest in the non-profit sector.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) is a bonus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Work Schedule
  • In person and/or remote. 10-15 hours per week. Some work may involve nights, weekends, or after hours. Employee will receive proper notice beforehand.
