Louisville Bats Baseball Team:
The Louisville Bats are the Class Triple-A baseball team, affiliated with the Cincinnati Reds, owned and operated by Diamond Baseball Holdings (DBH) which competes in the International League. This is an excellent opportunity to begin your career in Minor League Baseball and the sports industry. This role will provide you with a greater understanding of not only Production & Game Entertainment, but a general look at many different aspects, including ticket sales, marketing, radio, media relations, partnerships/sponsors, and customer service.
SUMMARY:
The Louisville Bats are seeking a highly talented, professional Marketing/Social Media Associate to join our team. The Marketing/Social Media Associate will be responsible for assisting in the creation and execution of detailed marketing campaigns with a primary focus on building brand awareness and generating ticket revenue through the Bats digital channels. The Marketing/Social Media Associate will report to the Director of Marketing, Marketing/Social Media Coordinator and will work closely with all department leads (PR, partnerships, ticketing, etc.) to assist in maximizing opportunities.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Assist in building marketing programs to promote team initiatives, events, programs and ticket sales across multiple channels.
- Help develop and execute community events that drive fan engagement and fandom. Manage data capturing during fan events.
- Create and manage recaps of all marketing efforts. Develop best practices and benchmark results against comparable initiatives from other MiLB teams.
- Manage and create content for the team's website (batsbaseball.com)
- Develop email content and growth strategy with a focus on fan segmentation. Assist in execution of email communication to CRM databases.
- Identify and develop opportunities within the influencer community to promote the team brand and events
- Develop and execute growth strategy of social media channels by utilizing strategic contests, posts and insight analytics
- Collaborate with the social media team to develop initiatives that drive fan engagement and social conversation
- Assist in developing and posting engaging content to Bats social media platforms
- Assist in monitoring Bats social media platforms, interacting with and responding to fans/users comments or questions
- Develop and maintain reports monitoring performance across all social media channels
- Other Duties as assigned
- 1-2 years of marketing experience with an emphasis on sports
- Bachelor's degree in Sports Marketing or related field (working towards a degree)
- Experience in advertising, creative development, promotion, & ad campaign creation
- Creative and solution-minded individual
- A self-starter with enthusiasm and determination to ensure that deliverables, timelines and objectives are achieved
- Ability to multi-task and work in pressure situations with a strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite strongly preferred
- Knowledge of MLBAM content management strongly preferred
