Essential Functions:

  • Lead planning, development, implementation, and execution of regional public relations and communications programs.
  • Draft news announcements, press releases, media advisories, written statements, and talking points for speaking engagements and milestone events.
  • Develop Q&As for media, including groundbreakings, topping-off ceremonies, interviews, and ongoing PR campaigns.
  • Manage owned media, including op-eds, and create compelling storylines to support social media content development.
  • Execute social media strategy and content plan to align with PR objectives.
  • Track and report on PR campaign results and outcomes.
  • Aggregate press clips and perform proactive media monitoring and tracking, compiling reports as needed.
  • Collaborate with project teams and other departments to support special projects.
  • Cultivate and maintain successful relationships with key reporters and relevant media outlets.

  • Proficiency in AP Style.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with media monitoring/public relations tools such as Muck Rack.
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field.
  • Minimum 6-10 years of experience in Public Relations and/or Communications.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing multi-pronged PR strategies.
  • Proven track record in media relations, including creating media lists, pitches, and on-the-record experience.
  • Crisis management experience with the ability to respond quickly and thoughtfully to urgent PR matters.
  • Experience leveraging analytics and data to inform strategic PR initiatives and planning.
