GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

A Media Intern at AOA will work independently and collaboratively utilizing a skill set that includes creating custom content from concept to completion for both internal and client-facing projects. As a media intern, your primary objective is to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of media production, including pre-production, production, and post-production. You will work closely with the media team to contribute to the successful execution of projects and develop a comprehensive understanding of content creation for business development and experiences within the industry. Creative problem-solving and a wide variety of projects will require the Media Intern to stay closely in touch with successful trends, design, and technology. All communication must be highly professional, polite, and have the spirit of teamwork throughout the life of all projects, as they will be in communication with fellow team members, project members, and clients directly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•Create media projects from concept to completion.
  • Pre-Production: Assist in brainstorming and developing creative concepts for media projects. Research and gather information for project planning. Help create and organize pre-production documents such as scripts, storyboards, shot lists, and production schedules.
  • Content Production: Collaborate with the production team to ensure smooth workflows while in the office or on set. Provide production, photo, and video assistance on various sites. Utilize your talents and discover new skills relating to capturing high-quality footage using cameras, lighting, and audio equipment, and/or develop motion graphics, visual effects, and other post-production elements within the Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Post-Production: Collaborate with the post-production team to refine the final edit of media projects varying from client-facing previs videos to customer-facing media-wrapped immersive environments. Help with the delivery of the final media products in various formats. Review content with leaders and implement all feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS

•Knowledge and application of basic cinematography skills, the 12 principles of animation, elements of art, and principles of design.

•Strong communication skills, and the will and ability to work within a fast-paced team and collaborative environment.

•A working knowledge of all listed software is paramount, with proficient knowledge in several:
  • After Effects & Premiere - required
  • Photoshop - required
  • Illustrator - required

•Demonstrated/proven strong leadership, technical and interpersonal skills

•Self-starter with demonstrated initiative - able to handle multiple tasks and priorities

•Ability to manage time effectively and in various work locations including on project sites and occasional remote work

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

•Pursuing or recently completed a degree in animation, motion media, film, or related.
