Would you like to serve in a ministry that has significant growth potential? Would you like to serve in a church where you are loved and have an opportunity to make an impact every day for the kingdom? Would you like to be a key part of leading a congregation to worship the Lord and love Him with all their heart, soul, mind and strength? If you answered yes to these questions, we want to meet you!

Emmanuel Church is located on the outskirts of Weatherford, TX in growing Parker County. Our mission is to reach the residents of Parker County with the Gospel of Christ, teach them to walk in obedience to Christ in all of life, and be sent to join the mission of God in every sphere of life where God calls and leads them.

In support of that mission, we are seeking the right man for a dual-responsibility role on our full-time pastoral staff to lead our Music Ministry and the Administrative functions of the church.

MUSIC MINISTRY

He will provide leadership, direction and training for our music ministry and the technical team responsible for Audio, Video, and Lighting for our weekly worship. We value congregational singing, and our repertoire includes older hymns and recent songs by Matt Merker, Matt Boswell, City Alight, Sovereign Grace Music, Getty Music, etc.

(Note we do not generally sing songs from Hillsong, Bethel, Elevation, etc. due to the theological positions of their churches.)

ADMINISTRATION

He will assist the Lead Pastor and Elder Body by serving as staff lead for tasks related to Operations, Finances and Communications. He will support the spiritual mission of the church with a blend of administrative skills, interpersonal communication, organizational abilities, and an understanding of the church’s goals and values. The position requires a self-manager, able to oversee administrative tasks, financial planning, and digital communication strategies.

NOTE: The ideal candidate should also have the ability and desire to teach and shepherd the family of God alongside the Elder Body.

Education and Experience

  • Ability to lead corporate singing, lead rehearsals, and grow a music team.
  • Ministry experience is helpful; most important is a proven lifestyle of discipling others.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (in progress or completed) or significant experience as an equivalent.

Qualifications

  • Meets the character qualities required for pastoral ministry as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.
  • Able to fulfill the responsibilities of pastoral ministry as outlined in Acts 20:28; Hebrews 13:7,17; and 1 Peter 5:1-5.
  • Is submitted to God’s Word as inerrant, authoritative, and sufficient for all of life and ministry and affirms the Baptist Faith and Message 2000.
  • Has a track record and current lifestyle of personal discipleship, as well as the ability to lead small groups.

General Responsibilities

  • Participate in the overall life of the church. Be an active and supportive covenant member by being an example of attendance, a faithful participant in a Community Group, a disciple-maker, and by developing deep gospel-centered relationships in the church.
  • Assist the Elder Body in caring for the members of Emmanuel Church.

Music Responsibilities

  • Assist the pastor in planning the congregational services, lead weekly rehearsal, and lead congregational singing.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor music team members, including musicians, and vocalists.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Be organized, efficient, above reproach, and trustworthy; he must manage and steward the church’s financial and facilities resources faithfully.
  • Help the Elders advance the vision and mission for the church through overseeing communication, organization, and infrastructure (facilities and technology).
