MARKETING & COMMUNITY IMPACT SPECIALIST

General Summary:
The Marketing and Community Impact Specialist works alongside the Marketing Director to coordinate and execute daily operational functions related to strategic internal and external branding initiatives and marketing campaigns. These efforts support JD Bank's business goals and philanthropic mission. The Specialist also works to maintain a favorable public image of JD Bank through media communications, community relations, and by serving as the Bank's community events coordinator.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Primary:
1. Plan, coordinate, and execute the Bank's presence at fairs, expos, and community events, attending events as needed.
2. Collaborate with employees across all market areas to achieve maximum exposure and benefit for JD Bank and the community.
3. Communicate frequently with branches regarding community events, expos, giveaways, and other public relations and marketing opportunities.
4. Identify potential high-level community partnerships that align with the Bank's business goals and philanthropic mission.
5. Review and evaluate requests for the Mobile ATM, coordinate dispatch and pickup, and maintain records of monetary usage and fee income.
6. Promote financial education initiatives through community relations partnerships, including CRA-eligible activities.
7. Maintain the Homepage and Marketing page of JD Bank's intranet.
8. Oversee the ordering, distribution, and inventory of business promotional items.
9. Process all departmental invoices.
10. Create in-house signage for holiday closings.
11. Update internal branch monitors and outdoor digital signs.
12. Collaborate with the Marketing Director to maintain social media pages.
13. Manage annual employee service awards dinners.
14. Conduct research and complete special projects as assigned.
15. Run errands for the department and deliver items to branches.
16. Collaborate with Human Resources on the CARE fund when instituted in 2025.
17. Maintain in-depth knowledge of, and comply with, all Bank departmental and security policies and procedures, as well as federal regulations applicable to the position, including BSA requirements. Complete all required compliance training as assigned.
Secondary:
1. Adherence to and support of all compliance and BSA/AML rules and regulations related to this job function.
2. Performs other duties that may be assigned by Management.
Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Marketing or a business-related field from a four-year college or university.
2. Experience in advertising, communication, banking, and/or public relations preferred.
3. Graphic design skills a plus
Preferred Skills:
1. High-level problem-solving skills to coordinate marketing functions and respond to regulatory and market changes.
2. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality regarding company and customer information.
3. Demonstrate exceptional business development skills and excel in customer relations.
4. Maintain professional grooming and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a high degree of poise and tact to represent the Bank positively.
5. Handle high-pressure, high-volume work efficiently and with flexibility.
6. Organize and prioritize tasks independently in dynamic environments.
7. Proficiency with personal computers and software relevant to the role.
8. Maintain an acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license.
Scheduling:
1. Reliable transportation is required for Bank business.
2. Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions during events.
3. Moderate noise levels in the workplace.
4. Regular work hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Regular travel is required within the bank market area.
5. Attendance at Bank-sponsored events during non-business hours is required.
6. Overtime may be necessary. Regular attendance is mandatory.
