Position Summary:
This position is responsible for marketing Mohegan Sun to mid and higher level players of Asian descent with multiple marketing tools.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
:
includes but not limited to:
Markets Mohegan Sun to the mid and higher level slot and table players of Chinese/Korean/ Vietnamese descent Attracts new business to Mohegan Sun from outside properties and direct competition Attends to customer needs and issues comps consistent with company policy Seeks new players and works with existing customers to increase trip frequency Promotes Asian and casino events Attains monthly and annual profitability goals on a consistent basis Manages the daily functions of the Asian Player Development Managers, Executives and Hosts Maintains and respects the confidentiality of marketing programs, guest information and databases Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with the training, scheduling and supervision of the Asian Marketing staff Assists in developing and executing marketing plans for the Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese populations Minimum Education and Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Three years of experience as a Player Development Manager or five years of experience in a high-level sales position Must be fluent in English and at least one dialect of Chinese, Korean or Vietnamese and have an understanding of the Asian culture Must have knowledge of the Asian markets, casino operations, complimentary policies, procedures, slot ratings, table games rules, ratings and player development Must have experience marketing and developing Asian clients Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook Competencies:
Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
Ability to market Mohegan Sun to the Chinese, Korean and Vietnamese segments Ability to meet or exceed sales and budget goals Able to make sound judgment calls relating to comps Advanced negotiation and reasoning skills Ability to interact with large and small groups in a highly professional manner Ability to remain in control in stressful or high pressure situations Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines Adaptable and open to new ideas and changes Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures Knowledge of Mohegan Sun budget planning and analysis process Effective utilization of Mohegan Sun evaluation programs Thorough understanding of the Mohegan Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment Training Requirements:
Mohegan Sun CER and purchasing procedures Knowledge of the VIP Lounge software, ACSC, SharePoint, FPR, LMS, Rainmaker, Salesforce and group messaging systems Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to work in a casino environment with smoke, loud noises and low lighting Overnight travel may be required Carries a communication device and responds to off-hours communications in order to provide 24/7 service Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
