Summary

This position is responsible for designing and developing marketing and communication efforts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Designing flyers, graphics, electronic invitations, and other marketing material for events hosted by the Clerk's Office.
  • Draft, distribute and pitch news releases, media alerts and other stories.
  • Update and maintain Bibb County Superior Court Clerks Office's social media presence, including scheduling Facebook, Twitter, and other social media updates.
  • Assist with the development of creative concepts and marketing for promoting the work of the Bibb County Superior Court Clerk's Office.
  • Create concepts for print, online, and social media.
  • Assist in planning, writing, and managing monthly E-Newsletter.
  • Collaborating with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications.
  • Good communications skills.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education, Training and Experience

High School diploma or GED with a minimum of (1) year experience in office functions or equivalent combination of education and experience to provide knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • General and basic skills in mathematics.
  • Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and office equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain appropriate confidentiality and security of private or confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with members of all levels within the organization and public.
  • Demonstrated ability to show good judgment, consistency, timeliness and respect in decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results on a timely basis.
  • Firm grasp of available tools and platforms in the social media space.
  • Must be computer literate (working knowledge of word processing, PowerPoint, Excel). Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop highly desired. Knowledge of HTML and graphic design a plus.
  • High level of artistic ability and creativity.
