Associate Technical Designer (Women's Contemporary)

Associate Technical Designer Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Design and PD teams during sketch pass offs by providing technical direction
• Builds and upkeep tech packs with detailed construction pages and spec sheets.
• Communicates with overseas factories on all fit, measurement and construction details of garments from proto to salesman sample stage.
• Track and manage sample approval and comments in collaboration with Design and PD team.
• Receives, measures and inspect samples prior to fit sessions.
• Participate in fit sessions with Design and PD team. Documenting clear and precise notes during fittings.
• Attend line reviews to communicate with the factories on any technical updates.
• Work within development calendar to ensure deadlines are maintained.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years experience in women's ready-to-wear technical design. Experience in cut & sew knits and wovens
• Minimum bachelor's degree in Technical Design, Apparel Manufacturing, Design and/or Patternmaking.
• Meticulous attention to fabric, apparel, materials, construction and fit.
• Excellent computer skills and ability to learn new programs quickly. Knowledge with Excel is a plus.
