Job Description
Regions Hospital is seeking a Music Therapist to work in a part time, benefit eligible position. This position will work every other Thursday and every Friday and Saturday.
As a Music Therapist, you will perform music therapy services in a professional and compassionate manner utilizing music therapy techniques appropriate for the individual patient. In addition to direct service delivery, the person in this position is also responsible for documentation of services provided, as well as communication with referral sources and other treating providers, as needed. Participates as an integral member of an interdisciplinary health care team. Provides education to patients and families, as needed, regarding treatment and follow-up; provides referrals for additional Integrative therapies when appropriate & necessary. Performs other duties as assigned.
Work Schedule:
0.5 FTE
Every other Thursday and every Friday and Saturday

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors, Master's Degree or equivalency in music therapy from a college or university accredited by the American Music Therapy Association. In addition, has completed an internship.
- Experience providing music therapy in a hospital and/or health care setting.
- Current board certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists or passing score on the Board Certification Examination awaiting certification.
- Post-Graduate degree
- Neurologic Music Therapy Certification
- Advanced certification and/or licensure to support position
