EAST SIDE ARTS COUNCIL IS LOOKING FOR A VISUAL ARTIST FOR OUR ARTMOBILE!
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Artmobile program is East Side Arts Council’s most popular summer program. Each summer the Artmobile, a van packed with art supplies, winds through the streets of the East Side of St. Paul to offer free, drop-in art classes at a variety of locations across the community. Each week, a new guest artist brings a creative project to life.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop a creative visual arts project for youth in collaboration with Lead Artist
- Engage youth in the project, with support from Lead Artist and Intern, at sites across St. Paul’s East Side neighborhood
An interest in community art is of the utmost importance. The artist must possess an interest in working with a diverse community and youth.
This position pays $650 for one week of work.
2025 dates: July 7 – August 15
Hours: Monday – Friday, 12:15pm – 3:30pm, classes are from 1pm – 3pm
May require lifting up to 25 lbs. Must have reliable transportation to get to the East Side Arts Council office each day (977 Payne Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55130) – the Artmobile leaves from the office to each park daily.
