Job Overview:
The Technical Sales Engineer in the Security Division is responsible for building and nurturing relationships with potential and existing clients, ensuring that Corporate Technology Solutions (CTS) delivers top-tier service while identifying opportunities for clients to expand their use of CTS products and services. This role involves pre-sales activities, detailed specification reviews, project design/build, and supporting project management and field staff. The Technical Sales Engineer will focus primarily on the State of Arizona, with occasional responsibilities extending to the entire Southwest Region.
Unqualified candidates will not be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Sales Activities:
- Engage with potential customers and organizations through proactive outreach.
- Respond to inquiries via website and phone, providing demonstrations of our services.
- Discuss with prospective clients how CTS services can meet their specific needs.
- Project Engagement:
- Conduct thorough specification reviews to ensure accuracy and alignment with customer requirements.
- Participate in the design/build process for projects.
- Develop comprehensive proposals, estimates, and scopes of work.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify further business opportunities.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Establish and strengthen relationships with clients, ensuring CTS provides exceptional service.
- Identify areas where clients can benefit from additional CTS products and services.
- Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with the Security Division Manager to develop new customer relationships.
- Ensure all necessary project information, including prints and specifications, is thoroughly reviewed.
- Support project management and field staff as needed.
- Proposal and Compliance Review:
- Prior to submitting proposals or responding to RFPs, RFQs, ITBs, etc., review all details with the Security Division Manager to ensure compliance with customer requirements, contractual obligations, and project profitability.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a system estimator, designer, or sales engineer, specifically within the security systems industry (including but not limited to access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and intercom systems).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (experience with Bluebeam is a plus).
