Job DescriptionThe University of Southern Maine invites applications for our new Marketing Operations Coordinator. In this role, you will be the backbone of the team, supporting several technical and detail-oriented functions to ensure all of the magic can happen - from using our CRM to build data extensions and lists for digital and print communications to organizing and administering our purchase orders. You will keep us organized as a lover of processes, planning, and systems. You enjoy understanding the data and strategizing ways to optimize our campaigns using it, and you have no fear of mastering technology to maximize the user experience and keep our systems running smoothly! Pay and Benefits: This is a full-time position with a starting annual salary up to $51,000. To learn more, please review the Benefits Information Summary.Location: This position will be based primarily on the Portland campus with occasional work on our Gorham and Lewiston campuses as needed. Potential to work remotely one day per week may be considered after the probationary period.Required Qualifications: At least two (2) years of work experience in a role working with a CRM and with writing SQL queries for data extensions and list management. Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud: Email Studio, Content Builder, AMPscript, SMS, and Journey Builder highly preferred. Associate's degree or above in a related field. Excels at learning new technology, software, and online tools. Experience with working with vendors and POs is a plus.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: You excel at understanding complex segmentation needs and dynamic content design, and are organized with a strong attention and eye for the details with thorough testing. You can work towards a calendar and deadlines, always staying one step ahead. You would enjoy working with purchase order and budget processes, working with vendors, and ensuring your supervisor is kept informed when costs go over or under and helping them keep track of spending. You enjoy working within systems and improving processes, and enjoy implementing new ideas and mastering new tools, meanwhile you are patient and can work with tools and processes that you can not change. You are agile with the ability to balance multiple tasks at the same time, and can make decisions in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities, working across multiple deadlines. You are a problem solver, with an ability to learn-on-the go and be self-taught, ask questions and retain information, take initiative, and work autonomously while working in a strong team environment. You are a good communicator in a teamwork situation as our task management system will be key to the team's collaborations. You enjoy working with stakeholders and partners, being able to take and give constructive feedback related to collaborations.
