ALLSTOP!, part of 3t Training Services is currently looking to recruit a Training Grant Writer / Specialist on a permanent contract located in Houston, Texas.

The recent acquisition by 3t will combine ALL STOP!’s exceptional practical training with 3t’s market-leading learning technology to create an outstanding enhanced offering for the US market.

The Role

Grant Research & Identification

  • Conduct research to identify government grant opportunities at federal, state, and local levels that support workforce development and training initiatives in the oil and gas industry.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of available government programs related to energy, environmental safety, and vocational training.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information on training programs, industry needs, and organizational goals.
  • Develop comprehensive grant proposals, including narratives, budgets, and supporting documentation, tailored to specific government funding requirements.
  • Ensure all proposals align with government guidelines, compliance standards, and the priorities of the grantor.

Budgeting and Financial Management

  • Work with finance teams to develop detailed, accurate budgets for grant-funded training programs.
  • Ensure budget justifications meet the requirements of the funding agency and reflect the needs of training initiatives.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with government regulations and grant conditions during both the application process and the execution of grant-funded projects.
  • Prepare and submit progress and financial reports to funding agencies as required.
  • Track and manage deadlines for proposal submissions, grant renewals, and reporting requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration

  • Collaborate with government agencies, industry partners, and workforce development organizations to align training programs with industry standards and government priorities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including local and regional workforce boards, educational institutions, and regulatory bodies.

Program Evaluation and Improvement

  • Monitor the effectiveness of grant-funded training programs and use insights to refine future grant proposals and training initiatives.
  • Analyze the outcomes of training programs to ensure they meet both internal objectives and grantor expectations.

Continuous Improvement and Professional Development

  • Stay informed on trends in the oil and gas industry, workforce development, and government funding opportunities.
  • Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and networking events to expand knowledge and identify new grant opportunities.

You will have:

Preferred Qualifications / Experience

  • Previous experience working on government grants in the energy or oil and gas sector.
  • Knowledge of federal and state funding sources related to workforce training, environmental safety, or vocational education.
  • Grant Professional Certification (GPC) or other relevant professional certifications highly desirable.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, Business, or a related field.
  • Experience in the oil and gas sector, workforce development, or energy-related fields is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant writing, with a proven track record of securing government funding for training or workforce development programs.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the oil and gas industry’s workforce needs, safety standards, and technical training programs.

Skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical and operational information.
  • Strong research and analytical skills to identify grant opportunities and align proposals with funding criteria.
  • Proficiency in grant management software and financial reporting tools.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple grant applications simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and compliance with grant requirements.
