Our Brand

Our brand is inspired by TV culture of the past — bold, playful, creative, and surreal. We are looking for a videographer & editor who can execute our unique vision as part of show concepts. To learn more about Mad Realities and our brand, check out our website and Instagram.

Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with our creative team to develop and execute original show ideas for series that live on socials.
2. Lead our production team to manage all aspects of video production, including shooting, lighting, sound recording, and post-production editing.
3. Participate in sourcing, vetting, and management of production team including: videographers, editors, producers, etc.
4. Set up and oversee processes within the team including: scheduling out shoots, meeting budgets, post-production.
5. In early startup context, execute shows at an IC level including development, editing, etc.
6. Edit raw footage into high-quality, engaging, and shareable social content.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in video production and socials content creation.
8. Evolve our existing content style into on-brand formats: zany, ambitious, iconic by contributing tactical execution playbooks to our toolkit.
9. Understand, evaluate, and implement feedback from the team to improve your work.
10. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications

1. 5+ years of experience in video production and editing.
2. Strong understanding of social platforms and related trends.
3. Proven track record of creating high-quality, engaging video content.
4. Proficient in relevant video editing software.
5. Experience with audio mixing and sound editing.
6. ++ for color grading.
7. Ability to lead and manage a team to achieve ambitious deadlines & craft.
8. Strong network within creatives, videographers, editors, etc.
9. Demonstrated interest in and proficiency in mentorship, team culture management.
10. Insistence on utmost quality across multiple show productions.
11. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
12. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
13. Bachelor's degree in film, video production, or related field preferred but not required.
