Ministry Function

The Audio Postproduction Specialist supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by bringing visual media to life through sound. This individual will work closely with the Video Production Director and filmmakers to ensure high-quality audio that enhances overall production.

  • Edits and mixes audio tracks for various media, including film, podcasts, and digital content.
  • Collaborates with teams to understand project requirements and deliver exceptional audio results.
  • Performs sound design, including the creation and manipulation of sound effects.
  • Ensures audio quality by performing detailed analysis, noise reduction, and audio restoration as needed.
  • Provides expertise in best practices for recording audio in the field.
  • Manages audio files, including organization and archiving for future use.
  • Coordinates with voice-over artists for recording sessions and oversees the integration of voice tracks into projects.
  • Stays updated on industry trends, production music, software, and techniques to continually improve audio production quality.
  • Maintains and troubleshoots audio equipment and software in the postproduction studio.
  • Fulfills all other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • A bachelor’s degree in audio production, music, film, or a related field (or equivalent experience) is required.
  • Proven experience in audio postproduction with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work is required.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in industry-standard audio software (e.g., Pro Tools, Adobe Audition, Logic Pro).
  • Exhibits strong understanding of audio theory, sound design, and mixing principles.
  • Displays excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Possesses ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exhibits strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a creative team.
  • Possesses experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) (a plus).
  • Displays knowledge of music production and composition.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with different audio formats and delivery standards for various platforms.
  • Exhibits ability to positively contribute to team projects and work with other team members.
  • Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
  • Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
  • Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
  • As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
