Ministry Function

This position supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by capturing media in domestic and international settings, telling the organization’s stories through photography.

  • Travels within the United States and around the world to cover important program activity — e.g., disaster responses, Children’s Feeding programs, and Community Events. Up to 75% travel may be required.
  • Coordinates travel (once trained).
  • Captures photos — and occasionally video — of gifts-in-kind being utilized in the field. Each photo should tell a great story.
  • Organizes media within the Marketing & Communications server and tags photos promptly after media is gathered.
  • Takes care of gear, making sure camera and other equipment is in excellent working order.
  • Fulfills other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two or more years in marketing/communications or a similar field is required.
  • Two or more years of photography experience is required.
  • Videography and Adobe Creative Suite experience is preferred.
  • Displays strong interpersonal skills.
  • Is highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possesses ability to utilize MAC or PC.
  • Positively contributes to team projects and works with other team members.
  • Attends and actively participates in Convoy of Hope At Home Week meetings and activities as a required responsibility to the organization and fellow team members.
  • Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
  • Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
  • As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization’s religious purposes for which it exists and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis.
