JOB PURPOSE & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Communications

  1. Partner with and support the Integrated Marketing team to develop communication strategies for our product mission.
  2. Partner with and support the Activism and Integrated Marketing teams to develop communications strategies to drive impact on the social movements Ben & Jerry’s supports.
  3. Support national company events as necessary in the field working with internal team and agencies.
  4. Build relationships with internal and external audiences including media, franchisees, and key partners.

PR/Earned Media

  1. Manage, plan and oversee PR execution of multi-faceted programs primarily focused in the US.
  2. Support the dynamic and evolving integrated marketing activities and social media events model.
  3. Manage press relations including preparation of news releases and feature articles.
  4. Develop story ideas for new initiatives and new product lines.
  5. Manage PR Department annual operational budget and incoming invoices.
  6. Support Retail Operations to create and set PR goals.

Influencer

  1. Lead and manage the development of Ben & Jerry’s US “influencer” engagement strategy.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships with US influencers relevant to B&J brand.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  1. BA or BS degree in related field.
  2. 5+ years of Manager level experience in communications and/or public relations.
  3. Ability to build relationships within the media.
  4. High level organizational and time management skills.
  5. Solid knowledge of social media platforms.
  6. Strong public speaking abilities.

Pay: The pay range for this position is $83,200 to $124,700.
