Faculty Position Information
The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Abilene Christian University is seeking a Division Director for the development and implementation of an online Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology degree program. The expectation is to add the online component to the department’s existing residential graduate programs in speech-language pathology at the Abilene and Dallas locations.
This is a 12-month position [non-tenure] with an expectation of teaching half-time in areas of expertise [18 credit hours per year] and half-time administering the online MS SLP program at the rank of College Assistant Professor. The position reports to the Chair of the Department Communication Sciences and Disorders in the College of Health and Behavioral Sciences on the Abilene campus. The online degree program is administered jointly through ACU Dallas and ACU Abilene.
This can be a remote position with travel to the Abilene and Dallas campuses throughout the year. This position is part of the faculty team working together to support residential and online students in their pursuit of a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology through ACU Dallas. Qualifications
- A Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. ASHA certification and Texas State License in Speech-Language Pathology are required.
- Three years experience in providing and programming online academic and clinical curriculum in speech-language pathology.
- Clinical expertise/additional academic preparation in content area assigned to teach.
- Computer literate in software and internet-based applications.
