As a Lead Content Designer, you'll define and deliver compelling product content while championing innovation within the Rocket Content discipline. In this pivotal role, you'll lead and participate in all stages of the design process, crafting influential content that enhances user experiences and drives our product roadmap. You'll guide the creation of style guides and content strategies, ensuring coherence across all client interactions. You'll mentor designers, develop information architecture, and facilitate workshops that achieve significant business outcomes. Presenting compelling solutions and strategies, you'll help shape our product vision and drive initiatives that standardize content practices. About You

We're looking for someone who...

  • Has at least 7 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrates advanced UX writing skills
  • Applies generative AI creatively, effectively and appropriately to accelerate workflow
  • Has demonstrated success guiding users through digital experiences with relevant content
  • Writes clearly, concisely, and on brand
  • Delivers impactful presentations and knows how to use storytelling to persuade
  • Demonstrates advanced ability to measure and explain content value
  • Creates compelling content strategy deliverables and knows which approaches work best for each situation
  • Leads complex projects and bodies of work
  • Mentors and develops senior content team members and product designers
  • Recommends and conducts best-fit content research and testing

What you'll do

  • Drive innovation and modernization of our content design discipline
  • Lead, facilitate and participate in all stages of the design process, writing and editing well-informed product content
  • Work independently on multiple concurrent projects and provide mentorship to less-experienced designers
  • Influence product vision with creative solutions that further the product roadmap, tie back to business strategies, and solve both client and business needs
  • Create style guides and message hierarchies that drive content creation across the client experience
  • Present strategies, solutions and recommendations to design partners and stakeholders, using persuasion and effective storytelling to influence product vision and design decisions
  • Analyze and test content to identify areas for improvement
  • Establish governance plans, including workflows and audit criteria
  • Audit existing content and identify gaps, influencing the roadmap of multiple projects
  • Create and maintain content inventories and content matrices
  • Develop information architecture strategies, including taxonomies and content models
  • Facilitate conversations and workshops that drive business outcomes with stakeholders across the business
  • Champion and lead content team-driven projects that promote democratization, standardization and content reuse
  • Offer meaningful design and strategic feedback across function throughout the product development life cycle
