Content Quality Assurance Job Description

Role Description: CoStar Group, Inc. combines research, technology, innovative tools and powerful marketing enabling customers to make informed, high-impact decisions. As Content Quality Assurance, you examine the content produced by a variety of contributors to safeguard the expectations of the business and customer. This role involves assessing content for consistency, relevance, authenticity, factual accuracy, and overall customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Perform audits to identify areas of improvement and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  2. Meet or exceed monthly performance objectives.
  3. Spot opportunities to edit content utilizing AP style.
  4. Maintain objectivity while assessing content.
  5. Record accurate and timely results from audits.
  6. Communicate effectively with internal partners.
  7. Provide constructive feedback to content contributors.
  8. Report escalations to Management in a timely manner.
  9. Stay updated with new standards and guidelines.
  10. Present content standards to new hires and share audit findings.
  11. Focus on continuous improvement of workflows and processes.
  12. Engage in continued learning and development.
  13. Maintain the highest professional standards and promote ethics of trust and collaboration.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or higher required; ideally in journalism, communication, mass media or a related discipline.
  2. A track record of commitment to prior employers.
  3. A portfolio showcasing your top work.
  4. At least 5 years of experience writing and editing news stories, reviews, or commentary for a daily publication.
  5. Attention to detail, objectivity, and strategic thinking ability.
  6. Proven ability to collect and analyze information through interviews.
  7. Ability to edit and knowledge of SEO and social media best practices.
  8. Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
  9. Proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  11. Ability to work collaboratively and articulate content standards.
  12. Confident personality with effective communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. High level of proficiency with CoStar Products.
  2. Professional editing experience.
  3. Experience running a copy desk and/or management.
  4. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  5. Ability to quickly learn new applications.
  6. Ability to plan and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Ability to act on own initiative and work successfully alone.
