Pay Rate Range: $18 - $25 per hour/ based on experience.

Job Summary:
As a part of PBS Utah’s dynamic sponsorship and development teams, the Video Editor will manage the production of sponsor messages and assist with fundraising assets for broadcast and digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the production of all business sponsorship and fundraising promos on all broadcast and digital channels on a weekly basis.
- Cross-train to allow back-up support for business sponsorships with the development producer.
- Provide support for development producer with pledge drives and other development assets.
- Work with Sales Coordinator, Traffic/Master Control, and editors to ensure smooth workflow, deliver assets, and track projects.
- Work with in-house production teams to coordinate remote shoots, audio recording, or extra production help.
- Keep on top of schedule changes and make necessary adjustments.
- Help maintain promo inventory on station logs.
- Keep all projects on schedule.
- Assist KUER with occasional video production and editing for fundraising initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Film or a related field, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience); two years of demonstrated professional experience in the operation of digital/non-linear editing systems; experience with graphics/ VFX software; familiarity with CODECs and compression basics and related software; familiarity with all aspects of television video and audio production including field and studio applications is preferred. Familiarity with PBS and FCC rules and regulations guiding content and presentation of television programming for broadcast is required. The ability to work under deadline pressure, to make creative decisions, be motivated and organized to meet deadlines while assuring high technical and aesthetic standards is required.
Preferences:
- Proficient in Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop (full Premiere/Adobe Suite).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and commitment to working collaboratively with the business sponsorship team, development team, and other internal departments.
- Detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Hard-working and dependable, with the ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
- General understanding of public media and the station’s mission.
