Job Summary:
Are you a creative and detail-oriented graphic designer with a passion for visual storytelling and digital design?
The Graduate Programs & Executive Education department at the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah is seeking a part-time Graphic Designer to join our Enrollment Marketing team. In this role, you will create engaging, brand-aligned visuals to drive enrollment for our graduate programs and executive education offerings.
This is an exciting opportunity for a designer skilled in both print and digital media, with a focus on editorial and UX design. You will collaborate closely with our marketing team, working on everything from promotional materials and social media graphics to swag design and event collateral.
Responsibilities:
- Design marketing materials: including print collateral, digital ads, social media graphics, and email templates, ensuring alignment with university and program branding.
- Collaborate with the marketing team: to create cohesive, visually appealing content across a variety of platforms.
- Develop creative concepts: that engage prospective students and alumni, enhancing the brand identity of our programs.
- Assist with the design and coordination: of program swag, including placement proofs, order approvals, and vendor communication.
- Design and update printed materials: and promotional items for events and outreach efforts.
- Support the development of web: and UX design elements for program websites.
- Maintain a consistent design aesthetic: across all materials, adhering to branding guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, or a related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience) plus 3 years of related experience and a portfolio at the time of the interview required; demonstrated effective communication skills; the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines; and a commitment to provide excellent customer service required.

Preferences:
- Proven experience: as a graphic designer with a strong portfolio showcasing both print and digital work.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and other design tools.
- Experience in UX and editorial design: with an understanding of layout, typography, and digital interfaces.
- Strong attention to detail: creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Experience working with vendors: placing orders, and managing the production process for swag and printed materials.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills: particularly with remote teams.
- Experience in higher education marketing: or a related field is a plus.
- Familiarity with web design: CMS platforms, and basic HTML is beneficial.
- Passion for design trends: branding, and contributing to educational marketing initiatives.
