General Description: This position is an excellent opportunity for students majoring in art with a concentration in graphic design to gain valuable design experience and build a design portfolio while creating promotional materials for the University.

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the director of creative services in the Office of University Marketing & Communications to create publicity and promotional materials for the University.
2. Manage creative projects to produce brochures, flyers, posters, postcards, logos, digital signage, T-shirts, etc.
3. Document client’s creative requests and notate project progression.
4. Assist with other Marketing & Communications projects, as needed.

Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

1. Candidate must have successfully completed at least two graphic design courses.
2. Be proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
3. Have knowledge of design elements and principles.
4. Must be detail-oriented and mindful of deadlines.
5. Experience with publication design is highly preferred.
