Job Opportunity: Multi-Media Journalist

WLFI-TV 18, the CBS Network Affiliate in West Lafayette, IN – the home of Purdue University, has a career opportunity as a Multi-Media Journalist. We need a storyteller who understands how to develop local contacts and generate community news.

Responsibilities:

Shoot compelling video and interviews.
Report, write clearly, voice, and edit stories for broadcast.
Post content to the web.

Requirements:

Demonstrated ability to handle:

DV camera with hard drive
Non-linear editing
Laptop computer
Web cam
Mics, cables, and other necessary equipment for digital news gathering

Prepared to perform multiple tasks under deadline pressure.

Four-year college degree in Broadcast Journalism and internship in TV news required.

Good driving record and valid driver’s license.
