The immediate vacancies are located at Kealakekua Public Library in Kona, Honokaa Public Library in Honokaa, and Kailua-Kona Public Library.

Note: The starting monthly salary is at the minimum rate of pay advertised above.

Shift Work: Applicants must be willing and able to work rotating shift work, including evenings and weekends.

This recruitment will be used to establish a list of qualified applicants to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur.

Perform moderately complex clerical and related library support work; and perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

LEGAL AUTHORIZATION TO WORK: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State to be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.

General Experience: One year of clerical work experience which demonstrated knowledge of spelling, arithmetic, the ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions, and compare words and numbers quickly and accurately. The General Experience must also demonstrate knowledge of and ability to perform various clerical procedures, operate various kinds of office equipment, and deal with others in a tactful and polite manner.
