NappStar NYC Social Media Specialist

Location: New York, NY · Full time

NappStar Social Media team members are responsible for making sure NappStar is capturing the best content to promote our salon & brands. They are responsible for taking client pictures, capturing videos, and coming up with creative content ideas & strategies to keep us at the top of our game.

Description

Requirements:

  • Experience creating reels, and editing needed. Instagram preferably
  • Must be willing to be on your feet the entire shift
  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask
  • Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills
  • Enjoy working with people and possess a friendly and outgoing personality
  • Must be a team player
  • Develop ability to work without constant direct supervision and remain on task for extended periods of time
  • Must be creative and willing to be on camera
  • Must have experience editing digital content for social media platforms

Hours

  • Full Time: (30 - 50 hrs)
  • Part Time: (10 - 30 hrs)

Pay Structure

  • $20-$23 per hour + Eligible for Team Bonus

Job Duties

  • Clock In / Clock out for shifts
  • Ensure you are in uniform, hair and make up standards
  • Complete open / close tasks & forms per shift
  • Follow salon standards for behavior and general workflow
  • Acknowledge and greet everyone who enters and leaves the salon
  • Communicate effectively with Stylists about capturing client content
  • Create and publish high quality digital content across multiple channels: YouTube, company websites, Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok, blogs, Snapchat, Mailchimp, and occasionally for print production (brochure, signage, etc.)
  • Plan and execute all web marketing, email campaigns, social media, print marketing, and ad buying campaigns
  • Design, build, and maintain social media presence; focus on social media strategy that converts to sales.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; with the ability to communicate with all levels of the team
  • Superb time management skills with a proven ability to meet & prioritize achieving deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Expert eye for design and image/brand compatibility
  • Proficient in editing: Canva/Adobe Creative Suite, Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook and other Social Media apps
  • Measures and reports performance of marketing campaigns and assesses against goals
  • Brainstorms and implements new and creative growth strategies through marketing
  • Collaborates with internal teams to optimize client experience
  • Experience with Shopify marketing is a plus
  • Handle client questions promptly, professionally and courteously
  • Maintain complete confidentiality in all guest matters in accordance with company policy

Training

  • New Hires - participate in 30 day, 60 day & 90 day goals
  • Participate in Monthly Check Ins
  • Receive new monthly goal and discount code
  • Talk about any issues, concerns, positive/negative feedback
  • Maintain a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment
  • Regularly attend, participate in and support training and staff meetings
  • Communicate to management any and all occurrences involving staff or clients in the salon that require attention
  • Assist in all areas of salon operations as requested by management

Physical Demands:

  • Must be willing to hold lighting equipment for an extended period of time
  • Must be willing to lift / move delivery packages that are less than 30 lbs
  • Must be willing to work on their feet all day
  • Must be willing and able to go up and down the stairs (as needed)
