Assistant Professor of Music - Music Technology
Oakland University, School of Music, Theatre and Dance, invites applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Music Technology position to join our music faculty in a growing program, beginning August 15, 2025. Primary responsibilities include teaching general education and undergraduate music major courses in music technology and music composition. Potential course load includes:
- Computer-based Music Composition (gen-ed; online)
- Creative Composition I & II (music tech major; online)
- Music Technology I & II (music tech major)
- Interactive Computer Music
- Senior Projects in Music Technology
- Music Technology Internship
The successful candidate will also serve as the coordinator of our music technology program along with other possible teaching duties as assigned. Candidates must demonstrate experience with or a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Minimum Qualifications
Terminal degree in music technology, composition, or related field. ABD considered if completed by August 15, 2025.
