Salary: $46,000.00 - $63,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive therapy assessments with inpatient psychiatric patients including adults, adolescents, and children.
- Facilitate both group and individual music therapy sessions, applying innovative therapy techniques tailored to patient needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility standards.
- Participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning by collaborating with a healthcare team to evaluate the efficacy of treatment plans.
- Provide input on the continuous improvement of the therapeutic services offered, ensuring they meet the highest standards of care.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Music Therapy or related field.
- Board Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) credential is required.
- Solid understanding and application knowledge of DSM-V diagnoses.
- Proven experience in behavioral health settings, working with varied age groups.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with treatment planning and case management.
- Advanced training or certifications in psychiatric music therapy.
- Ability to adapt to diverse cultural and educational backgrounds of clients.
Skills:
- Excellent clinical skills in music therapy assessment and intervention.
