Musica Sacra is hiring: Choir Director/Organist/School Music Teacher, South Flor

Parish Musician: Choral Director, Organist and Middle School Music Teacher: full-time, St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and Academy, Fort Pierce, Florida.

Responsibilities:

1. Serve as organist (Wicks 33 rank) and choir director (18-22 members, 4 of them paid professionals).
2. Oversee optional seasonal choirs (e.g., hand bell, children).
3. Work cooperatively as an occasional resource to our praise band which supports a different service.
4. Teach choral and general music, mostly to Early Childhood, grades 1 and 2, and middle school students.
5. Support the chapel program and coordinate the Christmas and spring programs.
6. Collaborate with music and other faculty in the endowed parochial school transitioning into a college prep program.

Qualifications:

1. Proficiency with pipe organ performance, choral directing, and designing liturgical service music.
2. A music degree is required.
3. Teaching certification or education coursework is beneficial but not required.
4. A lively and deep faith commitment to Jesus Christ and a love of the tradition of liturgical worship.

Compensation:

This position is full-time with health insurance, pension, and other benefits. Salary range is $41,000 to $46,000.
