The Photographer position is a unique opportunity to work a flexible, part-time schedule, as needed as part of a creative team in the home and gift industry. For the right candidate, this can be a full-time position. The successful candidate will get to work in a custom-built studio photographing products and settings that will be featured in popular online shopping sites, in printed materials, in large scale displays, and more. Job Purpose

The Photographer will work with a team that is responsible for developing and producing creative solutions in support of multi-channel branding initiatives at C&F Enterprises, Inc. The Photographer will be an integral part of the marketing department in all projects requiring photography components, will be scheduled as needed, and will receive project instruction from the Marketing Managers. The perfect candidate will be an innovative, creative thinker who's eager to dive headfirst into an exciting, constantly evolving and growing company. Duties and Responsibilities

Photography

  1. Shooting with full-frame FX format and HD video cameras both tethered and un-tethered
  2. Working within many different environments, including on location and inside the studio
  3. Capturing knockout and lifestyle photography for products across C&F Enterprises brands
  4. Applying studio and location lighting for desired effect
  5. Using Adobe Creative Suite software
  6. Utilizing Capture ONE software
  7. Daily use of Microsoft Office Suite products
  8. Helping stage photos
  9. Aiding in organization and transportation of props, shots list, and samples
  10. Digital asset management
  11. Post-processing/photo editing
  12. Contribute creative input and ideas
  13. May include work with live domestic animals such as canines and felines
  14. Keeping studio organized and safe
  15. Providing input on timing required to complete a photoshoot
  16. Photographing product for multiple audiences and mediums including wholesale, retail, print, digital, etc.
  17. Maintenance and care of all photography and studio equipment

General

  1. Observe all safety regulations; participate in safety training; report all unsafe conditions to the appropriate company personnel

Skills

  1. Photography and photo editing experience
  2. Strong time-management, organizational, and attention to detail skills
  3. Ability to work both independently and in a group setting
  4. Experience/familiarity with photography techniques, including lighting and camera positioning
  5. Competency with, and ability to learn new software systems quickly
  6. Experience photographing home décor and gift products is a strong plus

Qualifications

  1. Portfolio required with application for consideration
  2. Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Studio Art, Photography, or related field. Coursework in Photography required
  3. 2 years of experience in a professional setting, or any combination of education and experience equaling qualifications
  4. New grads welcome with portfolio submission
  5. Experience with Nikon and/or Sony cameras and equipment is a plus
  6. Experience with or ability to quickly learn Capture ONE software
  7. Ability to work outside of standard office hours on occasion as needed
  8. Travel to locations for photo shoots may be required

Physical Requirements

  1. Sitting, standing, walking
  2. Working in a photo studio for hours at a time
  3. Climbing ladders
  4. Moving props to include furniture over 50 lbs.
  5. Lifting: Raising or lowering an object from one level to another (includes upward pulling)
  6. Carrying, pushing, pulling furniture, boxes, catalogs, sample orders up to 50 lbs.
  7. May require work with live domestic animals such as a trained canine
  8. Prolonged use of computer involved; use of hands and finger coordination; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
