Job Description: The School of Architecture seeks part-time instructors to teach architecture design studio during the Fall (6 credits) and/or Spring (6 credits) semester(s). Teaching is at the undergraduate level.
Qualifications: A professional degree in Architecture is required, as well as an advanced degree in Architecture or a closely related design field.
Job Specific Qualifications:
- The school is particularly interested in candidates with teaching experience in an accredited professional architecture program.
- Candidates with strong intellectual and artistic direction are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates must possess professional design experience and demonstrate a record of recognized research which may include built work, scholarship, publications, or exhibits.

Responsibilities: Responsibilities include those of a part-time faculty member teaching a 6 credit hour design studio, per semester, including:
- Developing and/or updating a class syllabus.
- Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date.
- Preparation of lectures, projects or other student assignments.
- Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours.
- Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the course.
- Meeting all designated class periods.
- Submitting completed mid-semester progress reports and final grades according to University regulations.
- Grading student assignments and exams in a timely manner.
- Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
